BU Professor died Saturday after falling through stairs near JFK Station

Universal Hub is reporting that David Jones, an associate professor at the Boston University School of Public Health, died on Saturday afternoon after falling through a set of stairs near JFK/UMass Station.
Evidently, the rusted through stairway belongs to the Department of Conservation and Recreation.
State police said via statement that after a preliminary investigation it was “revealed that the stairs had been deemed unsafe and closed for approximately 20 months.”
The district attorney is now handling the investigation.
