Brush fire on Carson Beach on Tuesday afternoon

BFD responded to call for a small brush fire on Carson Beach on Tuesday around 3pm. Firefighters were able to put out the fire quickly.
Nothing has been confirmed re: cause of fire but were guessing it has to do with the dryness of the grass and seagrass along the beach. Please be careful when discarding smoking materials. Much needed rain is expected on Wednesday.

The climate deniers just won’t believe it until it hits home. Does a burning beach convince you carbon creating criminals that it’s time to go green ? Maura and Michele will convert you deniers to abandon your combustible engines & ride a bike or take the T ?
Or, it was started by a dropped cig butt, but yeah, keep preaching the new religion at every opportunity no matter the cost. You know, like the COVID response….
Dr Fauci may have saved civilization with his prudent edicts. Anti Vaxxers and climate deniers are a threat to modern civilizations. Southie would have no parking problem if we just get on the Wu Train and Go Green! Lower you carbon footprint. Tony C.
