BPD UPDATE: Adam McCree, 28 Has been Apprehended for Attempted Kidnapping and Assault + Battery in South Boston

Investigation Update: Detectives assigned to District C-6 (South Boston), in coordination with the Boston Police Fugitive Unit, are no longer seeking the public’s assistance in locating 28-year-old Adam McCree of Dorchester.

McCree was apprehended in New York by members of the U.S. Marshals Service and the New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force.

He was wanted in connection with an attempted kidnapping and assault and battery that occurred at approximately 4:37 AM on Sunday, May 25, 2025, in South Boston. In addition to these charges, McCree is the subject of multiple outstanding warrants in both Boston and New York.

At the time of the incident, McCree’s last known whereabouts were in the Dorchester area, and investigators believed he had fled to New York.

    With the rise of guns and gun use in the city we all must be aware of our surroundings at all times. The city should support our police officers let them do their jobs.
