BPD provide 11-year-old male with social services following a B+E in South Boston.
From BPD News:
At about 4:11 AM on Monday, August 22, 2022, Officers assigned to District C-6 (South Boston) responded to 473 West Broadway in South Boston (711) for a report of a Breaking and Entering in Progress.
Upon arrival, officers observed the glass door of the business to be broken and located an 11-year-old juvenile male suspect inside the store. The juvenile stated he broke into the store using a hammer to get something to eat. Officers searched the bag of the juvenile male and located no food items but did recover assorted vape cartridges that were taken from the store. Due to the victims’ age, officers were unable to charge the male with any criminal offenses but notified the juvenile male’s parents and applied for the appropriate support services to be provided to the juvenile male and his family.
