BPD Community Alert: Person pretending to be a delivery person in South Boston

BPD Community Alert: The Boston Police Department is issuing a warning for residents, with particular attention for residents in the South Boston section of the city. Boston Police Detectives are currently investigating several incidents where a male states he is delivering a package and enters the resident’s home while they are inside. In each incident, the victim’s report that they were not expecting any packages, and when they further questioned the suspects’ intentions, the suspect flees the location.
Anyone who feels that they may have information regarding these incidents, or if you feel you experienced an incident similar to this, you are urged to contact the C-6 Detectives at 617-343-4742 or 911.
Community members wishing to assist in this or any investigation anonymously can do so by calling the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1(800) 494-TIPS or texting the word ‘TIP’ to CRIME (27463).
