From BPD News:
At about 4:15 PM on Thursday, May 28, 2020, officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force, made an onsite arrest for a weapons violation in the area of 30 Linsky Barry Court in South Boston.
While officers were on patrol in the area, they received a radio call for a fight in progress. Upon arrival, officers observed multiple individuals standing next to a motor vehicle but did not see anyone fighting. As officers exited their police cruiser, they observed a male, later identified as, Jamarie Davis, 18, of Springfield, crouching behind a wall attempting to avoid contact with police.
As officers approached the wall where Davis was standing, they observed a red shoe box within his arm reach. Officers recovered a loaded 9 mm Glock 19 with 27 rounds of ammunition in a clear extended magazine.
Davis was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. He is expected to be arraigned in South Boston District Court.
