BPD arrest two men on drug related charges and seize a big bag of meth in Southie

On August 2, 2021 at approximately 9:18PM, members of the C6 (South Boston) Drug Control Unit made an arrest on outstanding warrants in the area of 399 Congress Street, South Boston of James Colamaria, 36, of Plainville, MA, and Darieal Haskins, 27, of Boston.
Members of the C6 Drug Control Unit, assisted by C6 Detectives, were able to locate Colamaria at 399 Congress Street where he was placed into custody without incident. Officers were also able take Haskins into custody without incident. While effecting the arrests, Officers observed a bag in plain site that they believed to be methamphetamine. Upon this observation, Officers exited the location and secured it pending a search warrant.
Upon execution of the search warrant, Officers were able to recover 2.5 pounds of Methamphetamine, over 100 pills believed to be Xanax and over $2700 of US. Currency.
Haskins and Colamaria were both additionally charged with Trafficking Class B (Methamphetamine), and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B (Oxycodone).
Haskins and Colamaria are expected to be arraigned in South Boston District Court.
