Boy pulled from the water at Castle Island

Around 4:40pm, a boy – around 12 or 13 years old – was pulled from the water by a bystander and onto the dock at the Harry McDonough Sailing Center. (The program was already closed for the day.) Chest compressions were performed. The boy was visibly disoriented and vomiting.
He was then transported by Boston EMS to area hospital. BFD and BPD were on scene in addition to MA State Police and Park Rangers.
The boy is expected to survive.
