To anyone who rents in Boston, this is not news….but….
According to Zumper – a real estate website- Boston is ranked as the third most expensive rental market in the nation last month with the prices of one and two bedrooms settling at medians of $2,890 and $3,360, respectively. Yikes. Also notable, the price of a two bedroom in Boston is up 20% since this time last year.
Nation-wide, one-bedroom rent has reached a new high of $1,503. Two-bedroom national median rent, now $1,845, is also at an all-time high. Renters in Boston would kill for those rents.
