Bill Linehan
City Council President
Bill Linehan, South Boston resident and District Two city councilor has been elected president of the Boston City Council.
During the first city council session of the year, Linehan beat Councilor At-Large Ayanna Pressley, with 8 of the council’s 13 votes.
Linehan has represented District Two over the past five terms which is made up of South Boston, Chinatown, and the South End since 2007.
After addressing the council, Linehan went on to thank them. “You have given me this honor, and I am forever grateful. I will not let you down,” said Linehan.
