Attorney General Maura Healey endorses Mike Kelley
BOSTON, MA July 19, 2017 – Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey today announced her support for Mike Kelley’s bid for the District 2 City Council seat. Citing his city government experience and decades of tireless activism in the community, she offered her enthusiastic endorsement of his campaign.
“The people of District 2 have a chance to elect a Councilor who shares our values and will work tirelessly with partners across government to address the challenges we face and the many opportunities before us,” said Healey.
“As City Councilor, Mike Kelley will bring people, organizations and government together to find solutions that help everyone and I look forward to working in partnership with him.”
Attorney General Healey is the latest addition to a growing list of state and local officials who announced their support for candidate Kelley’s “Putting People First” agenda. Just three weeks ago, eight local officials announced their endorsements of Kelley’s bid for City Council.
“I am humbled by Attorney General Healey’s support for my campaign, and I look forward to working with her on developing creative and effective solutions to the challenges facing District 2 and all of Boston,” Mike stated. “For years, she has worked tirelessly on behalf of the people of Massachusetts. Her leadership is an example for all elected officials, and if I am elected, I promise to follow her lead in my representation of District 2.”
