Arrest made in keying car incidents

At about 4:22 PM on Thursday August 30, 2018, officers assigned to District C-6 (South Boston) arrested Edward Mahoney, 38, of South Boston, on two counts of Destruction of Personal Property stemming from an ongoing investigation into vandalized motor vehicles earlier this month in South Boston. Investigators identified the suspect after reviewing video footage of an incident which occurred on Wednesday August 1, 2018, in the area of 190 Old Colony Avenue. District detectives continue to investigate several similar vandalisms which have been reported in the area. The suspect will appear in South Boston District Court for arraignment.
