Another Message from the Sign at O+2nd
Update:
And just like that, the sign at O + 2nd has been removed.
Original Post
This one has Southie residents scratching their heads.
If you travel by O + 2nd, you’ll see that the digital construction sign reads the message, “Southie Boobs.” We’re not exactly sure what a message means and who it directed at. New residents who just moved in? Old school Southie residents? Female anatomy in the neighborhood?
This sign is no stranger to controversy. Last month it displayed the message, “Let’s Go Brandon” which got some residents annoyed enough to file a 311 report. The city did reach out to the excavating/paving contractor and had them take it down – which they did.
As for the new message, we’re not exactly sure what the motivation is behind the newest message. To be honest, we’re not exactly sure why that sign is still at this corner. It doesn’t seem to be in use for a construction site. The only thing it’s being used for is displaying cryptic messages to the residents of South Boston.
At least one resident is asking the city, what the hell is going on?
What do you think this message means?
