311 Report of the Day – Creepy Signs with a Slender Man Vibe Spotted in Southie
The stuff of nightmares…
Universal Hub is reporting that a resident filled out a 311 report re: very creepy signs poppuping up at Medal of Honor Park in Southie. Evidently, when the person removed them, they appeared again later. The signs definitely have a Slender Man vibe.

Several inappropriate signs hung around trees at Medal of Honor park. Some have been removed but park and nearby areas should be evaluated and monitored. Some were also posted in the children’s playground.
According to Wikipedia, stories of the Slender Man commonly feature his stalking, abducting, or traumatizing people, particularly children. Plus, there was a disturbing case that was the subject of an HBO documentary, Beware The Slender Man. In this infamous 2014 case, two 12-year-old girls lured a friend into the Waukesha woods, where they stabbed her 19 times to appease a faceless mythical entity known as “Slender Man.”
