311 Complaint of the Day: Bird Sh*T All Over A Street Underpass
Ewww, David…
Universal Hub is reporting that one grossed-out Fort Point resident submitted a 311 report about the fact the section of A Street under Summer Street is basically the neighborhood pigeons’ bathroom.
Unfortunately, the recently-installed netting under the Summer Street overpass above A Street has not solved the pigeon droppings problem onto the sidewalks – the birds now perch on the stone bridge support and pipes that were not covered with netting (and also sometimes get inside of the netting…). Sidewalks need cleaning again, and a better solution is needed to get the birds out of the neighborhood.
Maybe we need one of those scary owl statues that pigeons hate, or maybe get some of those Castle Island seagull thugs to scare them off.

Maybe borrow the gargoyle from the Lawn. On D. But really. Birds pooping? Now that’s a serious problem if you are sitting under the bridge.
Awesome Ellie! Hope you and yours are all doing well!
The entrepreneurs who design high fashion clothes from trash and recyclables can make posh hats,.. pigeon crap berets are making a come back these days.
Be careful of bird pooping. If you get hit it can burn right through your cloths and into you skin. As it happening you will see a little smoke rise from the spot. Their pooping is toxic.
