Apparently so!  According to Bay Windows, OUTVets – an organized group of LGBT vets –  have had their application approved to march in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade officially approved.  In case you live under a rock, the organizing group of the parade – The Allied War Veterans – have rejected numerous applications by LGBT groups in the past.  OUTVets will be allowed to carry a blue banner with five white stars representing the branches of the military and six vertical rainbow stripes.

According to the article, Kate Norton of Mayor Marty Walsh’s office tweeted the news that this years parade will be “inclusive.”

Could it be a year without controversy this St. Patrick’s Day in Southie?  We shall see.

I think the bigger question is, how the hell are we going to have a parade in Southie in less than a month?
