2-alarm fire in South Boston on Sunday morning

BFD responded to a call around 10:30am on Sunday for a fire at 647 Summer Street – at WB Mason. Heavy smoke could be seen from the roof. A second alarm was quickly ordered.
Firefighters used an aggressive interior and exterior attack and were able to stop the spread of the fire through the large warehouse.
No injuries were reported. Estimated damages at $1 million. The cause of fire is under investigation.
