17-member panel to offer strategies to reopen the Massachusetts economy announced.

On Tuesday, Gov. Charlie Baker announced that social distancing and the closing of non-essential businesses been extended from May 4th to May 18th. Baker also announced the organization of a panel to plan the reopening of the economy. The 17-member panel will come up with strategies to re-open in phases. Although the panel’s report is due on May 18th, it was made clear public that health data and guidance from health care experts will dictate the timeline of the re-opening process.
