William Raveis’ newest agent – Ali Dudley
William Raveis on East Broadway is proud to introduce their newest agent – Ali Dudley. We sat down with her recently for a little Q&A:
Where were you working before and how do you think that experience will help you in your real estate career?
Before real estate I was in financial sales which has given me a diverse and valuable experience. I not only have successful experience in selling, but I also had the opportunity to manage a group of salespeople and be on the sales operations team. This unique background has made me familiar selling complex vehicles, managing different personality types, educating clients as well as employees and finally has given me an appreciation for running a business and understanding the necessary analysis behind every transaction.
The housing market in South Boston has been a hot spot in recent years, what do you think in contributing to the influx of residents? Do you see this trend continuing?
I definitely think that South Boston will continue to attract both homebuyers and investors. In the last three years, average sale price has increased by 23%, while inventory and days on the market has decreased slightly by around 5%. An increase in price and decrease in days on the market show that there is still very strong demand. The fact that the inventory down only enhances that demand, which could signify a good time to invest.
What do you hope to learn from working with the William Raveis team full time in South Boston?
I love working at William Raveis. It is one of the largest family owned companies and it is amazing to me how the Raveis family has continued to grow at an exponential rate while preserving their culture which is truly team oriented and grounded in a strong sense of community. With that said, I’m most excited about two things- to learn from my peers and the technology. I know there is so much I can apply to my own client interactions and business practices based on the innovation and success of my peers. As for the technology aspect, William Raveis understands the important role technology plays in the world today and how it is an integral key to providing our clients with the best possible service.
If someone were to recommend you to a potential client what should they know about the experience you will provide them as an agent?
I am very passionate about customer service and I pride myself in being extremely available and thorough. I have a unique background having a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Holy Cross and practical experience in finance, which means I understand the people side and the numbers. Two things that are critically important when buying or selling a house – it can be very emotional but it is also a major investment and both aspects need to be honored in the process.
