Ch, ch, ch, changes…
Looks like Gold’s Gym and a bunch of Marr Scaffolding/Rigging warehouses will be transformed into four buildings complete with 345 residential units, retail space and….a lab!
National Development has filed plans with the Boston Planning and Development Agency for 323-365 Dorchester Ave. to develop 5.4 acres. The four buildings will feature two buildings with residential units and two for life-sciences labs and offices.
Also part of the plan is 55,150 square feet of ground-floor space for restaurants, a grocery store and other retail space, in addition to 670 parking spaces in a below-ground garage and 542 spaces for bicycles.
According to Universal Hub, the developer hopes to achieve a 21st-century complex that “pays homage to the area’s industrial past” but also includes an area with bike lanes, trees, and a big lawn with amenities.
