PORT45 – one of Southie’s newest full service developments, is located in one of the best neighborhoods when it comes to convenience, entertainment, dining, fitness, recreation and more.  Just to prove it, we’ve put together a collection of local hot spots right in your own backyard.

Eat/Drink:
Literally located right out your front door, Coppersmith was recently voted one of the best rooftop bars in the city and one of the perfect places to “hang” in warm weather! For an upscale vibe, reserve your table at The Maiden. Start with a charcuterie board and wine! The Maiden also offers plates like Oysters Rockefeller, Parisian Gnocchi with Lobster, and Grilled Hanger Steak. Also located on the same block as The Maiden, is Worden Hall, Stephi’s in Southie and Moonshine 152! If you’re looking for an old fashioned/non-nonsense breakfast, head to Mul’s Diner located at A and Broadway.

Commute:
Whether you drive or take the bus to work, PORT45 makes your commute a breeze. Located just a block from Broadway Station, you have easy access to the the #9 MBTA Bus and to the Red Line. If you commute out of the city, you are two minutes away from 93 and the Mass Pike. If walking and biking is your way to walk, you are a quick commute from the Seaport District, Bay Bay and the Financial District.

Parks and Rec:
Just because you live in the city doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice the great outdoors! A Street Park is right down the street. Just over the West Fourth Street Bridge is a new park called InkBlock Underground featuring public art and lots of fun events. The Lawn on D is just a ten minute walk away. This wildly popular public park features events from concerts to fitness, illuminated swings, food and drinks! Living in South Boston, we are lucky enough to have so many beautiful beaches and a historic fort located at Castle Island less than a mile away.

Fitness:
Get in shape! You have some of the best fitness studios located right in your neighborhood! The Handle Bar offers indoor cycling classes, Simply Barre features the classes to strengthen and tone, and Everybody Fights is the winner of the Best of Boston Award where you can box your way to fit!

Neighborhood Amenities:
From wine to dry cleaners, you have it all! Social Wines features an eclectic selection of wine and craft beer. Their knowledgable staff are at the ready to answer your questions and offer suggestions! Need some caffeine, Starbucks is conveniently located right next to Broadway Station. Sturgis Cleaners is a Southie institution and offers on-site tailoring from Ma Sturgis herself plus dry-cleaning. Need some groceries? Foodie’s Market offer fresh produce, meat & cheese, baked goods and all your food shopping needs.
