In 2018, mother-daughter duo and Southie residents Colleen and Riley Eyges thought about why people aren’t drinking better vodka to avoid those bad hangovers. They decided to disrupt a man’s world of liquor spirits and created a gluten-free, ultra-premium, smooth vodka: VELO Vodka. This Southie-born vodka is so exceptional it’s even been featured in Forbes, NY Post’s Page Six and Boston Common Magazine!

Buttercream Boston — Talented 2 Southie Sisters

Sisters Amy and Kristin took a leap of faith in November 2023, when they took their hobby of decorating and baking cakes and turned it into their own business.  Their creations are chic, fun, gorgeous, and delicious (you can fact-check this by checking out their amazing pics @buttercreamboston on Instagram).
