November 15th

Eat:
It’s comfort food weather and we can’t think of a better place to fill up your belly than Franklin Southie.  Order up the Braised Short Rib or the Sweet Onion Mac n’ Cheese.  You’ll thank us later!

Drink:
Since we’ve said good-bye to the Quencher, we’ve been craving a good old-school Southie bar.  Belly-up to the bar at this local “hole in the wall”.   William’s Tavern has just the right amount of grit and coziness.  Expect a cast of characters at the bar, cheap drinks, and a great jukebox.

Shop:
The shopping season is upon us, and South Boston boutiques have their doors wide open for business. Below is a list of locations in South Boston where shoppers can find merchandise to satisfy all recreational retail and holiday shopping needs:https://caughtinsouthie.com/shop/shopping-expedition

Thankful:
Gen Y – a new spiritual community in Southie – is having their Gen Y Fridays on Friday, November 15th from 6pm-8:30pm at Gate of Heaven (basement).  Come be reminded of the many things you have to be thankful for in your life.  Enjoy a panel discussion of guidance, tips and advice to stay focused on goals and how to truly enjoy life.  Bring snacks and drinks to share.

Holiday:
Get in the spirit and get your home holiday ready at the Laboure Christmas Shoppe (275 West Broadway).  Chockfull of inspiring Christmas decorations and amazing gift ideas, the Christmas Shoppe will be open this weekend on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10a-4pm.  Stop by and check it out!

Support:
Mix and mingle with the movers and shakers of the Boston area who are trying to make students’ future a little brighter. The main goal of Operation Progress is to invest in students who otherwise might otherwise be denied an opportunity to succeed.  On Saturday, November 16th, Operation Progress is hosting a special event and fundraiser from 6pm-10pm at Julep Bar – 200 High Street.    There will be a silent auction featuring great items such as sports memorabilia, tickets and gift cards to local Southie favorites like Lincoln, Paramount and Local 149.
For $75 you can eat, drink and give to Operation Progress so collegiate scholarships can be provided for the top members of the Boys and Girls Club of Dorchester. Cocktail attire is encouraged. To purchase tickets visit:https://operationprogressevent.eventbrite.com/?

Workout:
Learn how to master the handstand (you know you’re dying to) at a special workshop on Wednesday, November 13th from 8am-9:45am.  Ultimate Bootcamp is partnering up with South Boston Yoga.  They will be hosting a three week program beginning in December Monday-Friday.  To celebrate the partnership, a special class of 60 minutes of bootcamp followed by 90 minutes of yoga.  Holy Moly!  The class takes place on November 16th at 8am.  Space is limited so sign up here: http://www.ultimatebootcamp.com/southboston/#specialclass

Decorate:
Neatly Nested is all about the prints this weekend!  Purchase any 3 framed or loose prints and receive 15% off.  The perfect excuse to decorate those bare walls or switch up the energy at home.
