Eat:
Know what makes watching a Bruin’s game way better?  Pizza and beer!  With flat screens-a-plenty including an 82 inch one, The Seapoint Restaurant is perfect spot to catch a Bruins game. During all Bruins games, the Seapoint offers their delicious pizza at a discounted rate of just $3 bucks – can’t beat that!  Add a pitcher of ice cold beer served up by Southie’s favorite waitress Stephanie (Lovey) and the experience is complete. ??Don’t forget about the ample free parking too!

Drink:
Micro-brewed craft beer is so 2012.  Craft spirits is the new black when it comes to local distilling.  Grand Ten Distilling is located right here in Southie (383 Dorchester Ave – right near Peter Welch’s Gym) and offers tours and tastes.  Tours normally run on Saturdays at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm or you can schedule a private tour during the week if that suits your schedule better.  ([email protected])  What’s being made?  For spirits, try Wire Works American Gin, Fire Puncher  Vodka, Medford Rum.  For liqueurs, enjoy Almandine – Almond Liqueur, Cranberry – Cranberry Liqueur and Angelica – Botanical Liqueur.   You can find Grand Ten products at the following Southie locations:

We all know how important the South Boston Boys and Girls Club is to our community!  The Club provides amazing sports, music and arts programs that help the youth of South Boston learn and grow.  With that in mind, the Third Annual South Boston Boys and Girls Club Winter Benefit happens Saturday, January 26th at 7pm at The Cornerstone (16 West Broadway). Featuring DJ, Dancing, Cash Bar, and a 50/50 Raffle.  The silent auction and raffle table will include such delights as a Paul Pierce autographed authentic NBA jersey, gift cards to local restaurants, and a membership to Peter Welch’s Gym.  Tickets are $25 at the door. 

Unwind:
B Yoga and Sher Breen want you to unplug, recharge and reconnect.  On Friday, January 25th from 7:15pm-8:45pm take a must needed break from your frenzied life. 
Sheri will guide you through a restorative yoga practice, the pure art of just “being”. This quiet and gentle style of yoga invites attendees to melt into supportive poses with the use of many props. Restorative yoga allows you to take space, pause, and just breathe.

Make Southie a little greener in 2013.  Planet Southie invites you to come together for their monthly meeting on Thursday, January 24th from 6:30pm-7:30pm at the Distillery (516 East Second Street).  Come and listen to Transportation Engineer Mike Tremblay as he shares his study and design ideas for East and West Broadway. All are encouraged to attend and provide their feedback.??Walk, Bike and Transit/Bus Action Teams will meet after Mike’s presentation and Q&A session. Dance:
Our family pick of the weekend – pump up the jam!  The Children’s Museum invite you to an all ages dance party on Friday, January 26th at 6:30pm.  Kids Jam @ Club Common takes place on the fourth Friday of the month through March.  So dust off those dancing shoes! ???
