Eat:
Burgers and dogs.  Saturday is the last day to enjoy 2 for 1 hot dogs at Sully’s – as a matter of fact they close for the season on Sunday – so eat up!  Too chilly to wait in line for Tasty Burger? Shop:
If you survive Black Friday and still have some shopping left in you, then head out to the streets of Southie on Saturday.   Saturday, November 30th is national “Small Business Saturday”.  This campaign was designed by American Express to generate business to small independent merchants – and we know how important it is to shop locally!  Ku De Ta is celebration Small Business Saturday with 10% off all Alex and Ani jewelry!

Mustache:
Be a pencil-thin, handlebar, or 70’s porn star, Local 149 is encouraging you to bring your mustaches on Saturday, November 30th.   In celebration of Movember – the month where men grow mustaches to raise funds and awareness about prostate and testicular cancer – Local 149 will be giving away a cool $400 to man with the best mustache!

Give:
Mayor Elect Marty Walsh is hosting a special breakfast and toy drive for local families in need.  On Saturday, November 30th from 10am-12pm at Florian Hall (55 Hallet Street, Dorchester)stop by and show your support.  Suggested donation $25 and an unwrapped toy. 

Donate:
Clean out your closets and donate your unwanted coats to a special Coat Drive in Southie for Family Aid Boston.  Stop by the South Boston Library on Saturday, November 30th from 11am to 1pm and drop off a coat, be it parka, topcoat, peacoat, puffer, or jacket.  Boston Family Aid works to prevent and end homelessness in Boston.  This is the season of giving – so do something nice – it’s good karma.

Mix&Mingle:
Mix and mingle and help support South Boston Youth Hockey.  South Boston Youth Hockey is celebrating the season with a special South Boston reunion and fundraiser on Saturday, November  30th at The Teacher’s Union Hall at 7pm.  There will be live music featuring Southie’s favorite band, Thomas Park, a tribute to Teddy Cunniff, raffles and a cash bar.
