Say cheese:
Who doesn’t love a photo booth?  You know the kind where you make silly faces with friends and get a strip of photos to keep forever on your fridge. Well, on Friday, December 9th from 4pm-8pm, Caught in Southie is sponsoring a free photo booth at Local 149.  Stop by and mug it up for the camera and post your pictures on Facebook!

On Friday, December 9th at 5:30 The Massachusetts Iraq and Afghanistan Fallen Heros Memorial Dinner will take place at the Boston Convention Center (415 Summer Street).  Come help support the all-volunteer group dedicated to honoring the sons and daughters of Massachusetts who served in Iraq and Afghanistan since September 11th, 2001 and gave their lives in service to our nation.  A permanent memorial in their honor is one of its goals.  Ticket are $100.  For more information:http://www.massfallenheroes.org
Brave the cold:?Strip down to your speedo, don a Santa hat and run for a mile!  If this sounds like fun, you should participate in the Santa Speedo Run on December 10th at 1pm.  The funds raised from this unique race will benefit the Play Ball Foundation.  The run will start and end at Lir Tavern at 903 Boylston Street, Boston.  Check in/registration begins at 10am. ?

Eat Boutique:
Eat Boutique Holiday Local Market is happening Saturday, December 10th from 11am-5pm.  Meet local handmade food makers and cookbook authors.  Taste their delicious sweet and savory treats and shop for gifts for friends and family.  This event will take place at  Made in Fort Point, a huge gallery space at 12 Farnsworth Street (next to Flour Bakery) in Southie’s Fort Point neighborhood.

Believe:
Relive the magic of the Polar Express right here in Southie.  St. Peter Academy presents their version on Sunday, December 11th from 3pm-6pm.  The VFW (7 Ellery Street) will be transformed into the North Pole Depot.  This event will feature trolley rides, storytelling, arts and crafts projects, hot chocolate and cookies, and of course a visit from Santa!  Tickets are $20 per family and benefit the children of St. Peter Academy.  To purchase tickets call 617.268.0750
