Fourth Presbyterian Church (340 Dorchester Street) goes “Broadway” this weekend with their interpretation of Wicked. This outstanding show will happen this weekend Friday, January 10th and Saturday, January 11th at 7pm and feature 15 local teens and tweens. Come enjoy songs like Popular and Defying Gravity! This event is free and open to the public.

Ride:
Take off your pants and ride the T. It might be chilly but it might be really fun too! Boston is hosting the 7th Annual “No Pants Subway Ride” on Sunday, January 12th at 1pm. Organized by the group Boston SOS (Society of Shenanigans), hundreds of train passengers will board the MBTA, and then take their pants off mid ride in front of unsuspecting strangers. Mentor:
January is National Mentoring Month! South Boston T.E.A.M. (Together Engaging Adolescents Through Mentoring) wants you to help make our community a little bit stronger! South Boston T.E.A.M. is a mentoring program that matches caring adults with teens from South Boston. Matches will meet once a week for at least one year. As part of the program, you will participate in such events like trips to Red Sox games, Six Flags, and Castle Island.
Family Pick:
Hit the mats and help raise money for new ones. Ultimate Self Defense & Performance Center (12 B Street) is hosting a special movie night fundraiser to raise some funds for some much needed Dojo mats. This special event will take place Saturday, January 11th at 5pm. It’s a drop off event so take advantage and plan yourself a little date night! Admission is $10 per child or $20 per family.
