On your mark. Get set. Go! Lace up your running sneakers and register for the Jim Kane Sugar Bowl 5K. Celebrating it’s 25th Anniversary, this road race is a local favorite for not only it’s flat course along the water but for the party after the race too. The L Street Running Club who organizes this race announced a new course this year as well as vendor expo, more awards and raffles, baggage check and free parking. The race takes on Thursday, July 19th at 6:30 pm and begins at Carson Place. Registration is $30. Commemorative 25th Anniversary Tech Shirt to the first 1000 to register. Groovy! Revisit the 70’s at Local 149’s 70’s Dinner Party on Monday July 23rd at 7pm. Inspired by the decade of bell bottoms, free love, and the best music ever, this event will feature food and cocktails that celebrate the 1970’s.
