Weekend of June 22nd

Sea breeze:
Join Senator Jack Hart and the board of directors of the Harry McDonough Sailing Center at a special Summer Kick-off cocktail reception.  On Thursday, June 21st from 5:30-7:30 enjoy food, beverages and live entertainment provided by the Linehan Brothers.  Suggested donation is $100.  This event takes place that the McDonough Sailing Center at Castle Island.

Eat:
YoBerry has officially opened its doors.  Located at the corner of Dorchester and West Fourth Street, this little shop serves up frozen yogurt and smoothies just in time for summer! Perfect way to cool off!

Celebrate:
MyBike has moved – not far – it’s in the same building (516 East Second Street) but in a bigger and better space.  At its new location, MyBike can offer more customer parking, access to a larger array of bikes for rent and purchase, and an expanded bike repair service area.   And to celebrate they are having a grand re-opening this Saturday, June 23 from 11am to 5pm.   Bike lovers of all ages are encouraged to stop by.  Expect a tour of the new space and the expanded rental fleet and retail inventory, tips on bike and helmet safety and mix and mingle with the MyBike team.  There will be refreshments as well.

Play Ball:

The Memorial Softball Tournament remembering Donny Higgins, Pat Mahoney, Chris Mulligan, Stephen Rosemond and Frankie Shea will take place on Saturday, June 23rd at M Street Park.  This all day event features softball, music, food and raffles.  Prizes include Kenny Chesney tickets, Red Sox tickets, a week at the Cunniff Hockey Camp, autographed sports memorabilia and more.
Team entry fee is $300 for 12 players.  Fee includes a two game guarantee, t-shirts and food.  To register, contact Jen at [email protected].  Hit us a homer!

Taste:

Apres Beach:
After a hot day at the beach an ice cold beer will do the trick.  The Seapoint Restaurant is offering a Beach Blanket Bingo Special.  Enjoy $5.00 pizzas along with $9.00 imported pitchers/ $7.00 domestic pitchers 4 to 8 pm every Saturday and Sunday throughout the summer.  Stick around for the Celtics Game – they tip off at 8pm Saturday night.
