Still need a gift for mom?  Ku de Ta (663 East Broadway) is hosting trunk show featuring Kendra Phillip Designs on Saturday, May 12th from 1pm-3pm.  Cuffs in gold, silver and the very trendy rose gold ($34), monogrammed pendants ($44), and plenty of other baubles to adorn mom on her special day.  Unique feature alert: Kendra Phillip’s monogrammed pendants reverse from gold to silver – so it’s like two for the price of one.

Treat your mom to a delicious week of desserts for Mother’s Day. The 13th annual Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer is a sweet way to help battle breast cancer while treating the special women in our lives. Teaming up with restaurants, bakeries, and cafes across the region, Boston Bakes offers the opportunity to enjoy a delectable dessert, and support breast cancer research.  Participating establishments dedicate one dessert off their menu for the week and direct 100 percent of proceeds from the sales of that dessert to breast cancer research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
This special fundraiser begins Monday, May 7th until Mother’s Day May, 13th.
Some local South Boston businesses are participating including Barlows, Joseph’s Bakery, Flour, the Seaport Cafe at the Seaport Hotel, and the Channel Cafe.  For a full list of participants visit: http://www.bostonbakesforbreastcancer.org/restaurants-bakeries/

Drink:
St. Patrick’s Day may have come and gone but you can keep in the spirit at the Third Annual South Boston Pub Crawl to support  the Great Boston Fire Pipes and Drums.  The route is as follows: meet at L Street Tavern, march up to the Quencher Tavern, swagger to Tom English’s Cottage, and then weave your way back down to Touchie’s Shamrock Pub.  After that, you are on your own.  This event takes place on Saturday, May 12th at 7pm.  The band will be selling t-shirts as well as cash raffles and a 50/50 drawing.

Support:
Kick it old school at the Emerging Leaders 5th Annual Gala this Saturday, May 12th at 7pm.  It’s time for martinis, Sinatra and stepping out in your vintage best. Join more than 400 of Boston’s most fabulous young philanthropists for a gala salute to the mad, mad world of the 1960’s. Be there for live music from Kiss 108’s Rich Dimare and his band, dancing, hors d’oeuvres, beverages and a silent auction to support youth in our community. This swanky affair takes place at The Artist For Humanity Epi Center (100 West Second Street).  For tickets visit: http://el.supportunitedway.org/gala12
