Just some helpful suggestions for fun.  Kick back and enjoy!

Eat:
Love Italian style.  Enjoy a special Chef’s tasting menu all weekend long at Strega Waterfront (One Marina Drive).  Nothing says romance like Oysters Rockefeller and heart shaped lobster ravioli.  Three courses for $65 per person and $85 with wine pairings.  No splitting or sharing of orders or they’ll take you out back to get whacked. To see the full menu: http://www.stregawaterfront.com/vday.pdf

Drink:
Cozy up harborside at the Wharf Bar at the Boston Harbor Hotel (70 Rowes Wharf). The relaxed atmosphere, dark woodwork and comfortable seating makes for a romantic spot to enjoy a cocktail (or two) and have an intimate conversation.  With
Boston’s most extensive selection of fine scotches, partake in a man’s man drink or maybe the French kiss – Stoli Ohranj and Lillet Blanc – is more your speed.

Support:
Join Senator Jack Hart for a neighborhood reception at the L Street Tavern (corner of L and East Eighth).  On Friday, February 10, from 6:30pm-9:30, enjoy traditional Irish Music by Inchicore, mix and mingle with your neighbors, and belly up to the bar.   Suggested donation: $30 for one, $50 for two or donate online @ http://senatorjackhart.com/

Dance:
Share the love this Valentine’s weekend with the kids.  St. Peter Academy is hosting a Little Sweetheart Ball this Saturday, February 11th. Deck your little ones in their finest duds and dust off the dancing shoes.  This night promises to be a read crowd pleaser.  There will be dancing, games, food and fun for the entire family.
The price is just $20 per family.  The sweet romance begins at 5pm at the South Boston Lithuanian Club (368 West Broadway).  See you there!?

Pamper:

Nestled on the corner of K and East Broadway, Spa Christine is the perfect beauty retreat.  Here, a staff of experts offer spa services that leave you feeling rejuvenated and refreshed and you never have to leave your hometown (which we love).
Especially for Valentine’s Day, Spa Christine is offering the Be Mine Package featuring a gift card with three fantastic options:

  • one hour massage and Spa Christine facial
  • two 1 hour massages
  • two Spa Christine facials

Price: $139.12  This offer valid in store or by phone through February 14, 2012.

Escape:
Just because you don’t have enough scratch for a trip this winter doesn’t mean you can’t escape!   The Grand Circle Gallery (347 Congress Street)  is featuring vintage posters promoting warm and cold-weather escapes.  Also included Bradford Washburn aerial black-and-white photography and George Daniell’s vintage photos of romantic Italian life. This show is free and on display through April 28th.   Enjoy your winter getaway! For more information: http://www.gct.com/Community/Grand-Circle-Gallery.aspx
Insider’s tip:  Keep the escape going and head to Papagayo (283 Summer Street) and enjoy one of their many specialty Magaritas.  Also indulge in their fresh-made guacamole too!
