Eat:
Order up some appetizers and watch the game at the Cornerstone (16 West Broadway).  They’ve recently installed brand new booths and TVs so you can get up close and personal with the Pats and Bruins.  For all of you Shipyard Pumpkin fans, the Cornerstone has it on tap just in time for the fall season (and for cheap!) Located directly across from the Broadway T stop, this pub is a neighborhood favorite with great eats, such as their steak tips and mashed potatoes, burgers and more!  If you’re looking to soak up some Southie atmosphere, grab a beer and a burger, then the Cornerstone is the place to go.  The drinks are cheap and the game is always on.  What more could you ask for?

Drink:
It’s perfectly fine to have a cocktail in the morning. Treat yourself to some Brunch Punch at Franklin Southie (152 Dorchester Ave).  It’s a delightful blend of myers’s white rum, orgeat syrup, pineapple juice, oj, and fresh grenadine for $7.  While you’re there you might as well have brunch too.  We recommend their delicious brunch burgers!  Yum!

Spend:
Worried about paying for Christmas this year?  Let Mass Bay Credit Union be your Santa!  They are offering a holiday loan for a fixed rate of 4.99%.  Borrow up to $7500 and take up to 18 months to pay back.  Now your holiday shopping doesn’t seem so scary now, right?  For more information go to: www.massbaycu.org. Now get that shopping list ready!

Stretch:
Southie’s newest yoga studio, Eastside Yoga (516 East Second Street) is offering  free yoga classes all weekend long.  It’s perfect for all levels and classes are first come first served.  So stop by, stretch and breathe – you’ll feel so much better.

Shop:
Feel like a little hanky panky this weekend?  Ku de Ta (663 East Broadway) is now carrying the colorful and comfortable line of intimates.   Take your pick of original rise and low rise Hanky Panky’s in a variety of colors. Both styles retail for $18. It’s nice to have nice undies –  you never know who might be seeing them!

Save the Date:
Kick off the holiday season with THE EVENT of the year – The Thomas Park Pre-Holiday Therapy Party at Florian Hall (55 Hallet Street).  Let loose the night before Thanksgiving before you get wrapped up in the holiday season frenzy.  Southie’s favorite band – Thomas Park – will be playing and legendary Southie DJ Dru Errico will be spinning his famous dance music.  Local personality Mark Reilly will be your host for the evening.  For tickets go to: www.thomasparkband.com.  Only 300 tickets will be sold this year.  Stay tuned for details – we hear there’s going to be lots of things to surprise and delight.

Snow:
Before you know it, the slopes will be covered with fresh powder, so be prepared.  This weekend the Ski and Snowboard Expo takes place at the Seaport World Trade Center.  Tickets are $12 and include a magazine subscription to Ski or Transworld Snowboarding AND a $10 Liftopia Gift Card.  Kids under twelve are FREE!
