Fall back:
Finally day light savings is over.  We’re tired of it being pitch black at 6am! This Sunday, November 6th turn your clocks back an hour and gain one hour of much needed sleep.

Roam:
This Saturday and Sunday is the South Boston Open Studios where local artist open their doors to the public.  This weekend long event is a great way to meet artists, buy some art, and mingle with your neighbors.  Feast your eyes on such work including: sculpture, painting, drawing, printmaking, installation, photography, video, jewelry, ceramics, woodworking, fabric and performance art.  Hours are 12pm to 6pm and feature studios at The Distillery (516 East Second Street) and King Terminal at the corner of Summer and East First.  For more information go to: www.southbostonopenstudios.org

Eat:
Hot diggity dog!   For the month of November enjoy half priced hot dogs for just 80 cents!  We’ll take ours all around!

Just desserts:
Top chefs from area restaurants, bakeries and culinary schools will put their dessert skills to the test as they compete in the 18th Annual Gingerbread House Competition.  This battle of gingerbread and icing will go down on Friday, November 4th from 10am to 12noon.  The sweet showdown will be judged by a celebrity panel. We hope the Gingerbread Man is included.  For more information:https://caughtinsouthie.com/gingerbread-house

Beef:
An old-fashioned meat raffle will take place Saturday, November 5th at 1pm at the Martin F. McDonough Post (329A West Broadway).  We’re not really sure what goes on these meat raffles but you might just walk out of their with a slab of beef and maybe some steak tips.  Let us know if you go!
