There’s a Stranger in the Manger: The Gold Dust Orphans Return with a New Holiday Musical, Rosemary’s Baby Jesus, in South Boston

The holiday season just got a whole lot sassier in Southie! The Gold Dust Orphans are back with an all-new musical comedy, “Rosemary’s Baby Jesus,” written by Ryan Landry and directed by James P. Byrne. This irreverent and hysterical holiday treat is setting up shop at the Iron Wolf Theatre in the South Boston Lithuanian Citizens Club, and it promises to bring the laughs, the drama, and plenty of holiday cheer.

Meet Rosemary Shithouse, a Christmas-loving sweetheart who’s been cast as the Virgin Mary in her local church’s play year after year, thanks to her saintly demeanor and festive spirit. But not all is merry and bright in Rosemary’s world. Her husband, Guy, is a grouchy, failed actor who moonlights as a bargain-bin Santa in a Halloween shop.

The couple has just moved into the infamous House of the Seven Gables in Salem, and things seem to be looking up with new neighbors, new friends, and—spoiler alert—a baby on the way. But this isn’t your typical nativity story. Something dark and sinister has slithered into Rosemary’s life, and let’s just say… it’s about to get real personal.

Catch “Rosemary’s Baby Jesus” now through the holiday season at the Iron Wolf Theatre at the South Boston Lithuanian Club, located at 368 West Broadway. You can purchase your tickets here.

Do be forewarned that “Rosemary’s Baby Jesus” is NOT for children. Unless of course they’re of drinking age!
