Signs of spring are here, and if you’re itching to get out of the gym and outside – check out some of the many run clubs around the neighborhood.

Southie has a plethora of free running groups that hit the pavement almost every day of the week. With different groups and different routes, you will never get bored. Run clubs are not only a great way to get some extra motivation but also to meet new people interested in the same hobby!

Check them out:

1.5 Run Club: This group meets every Saturday at 9 am outside Loco. They have one-mile, 5K, and 10K loops, and after the workout, the group meets back at Loco for brunch and drinks!

The Yahd Run Club: This group meets outside the Yahd on West 5th Saturdays at 8 am. The group heads to the Seaport and back for a 4.5 mile loop.

Almost Friday Run Club: … you guessed it, this group meets on Thursdays! Every Thursday at 7 am, the group meets at the Curley Community Center for a 3-mile Castle Island loop. This group also ends at Annie’s for a post-run coffee.

MyStryde Run Club: Looking to break up your week? Tuesday mornings with MyStyde are a great way to do so! This group meets at the MyStryde on Summer Street and takes off for a 3.5-mile loop.

Dorchester Running Club: This group has been a running staple in the neighborhood for a while, and they are still going strong. Head over to Garvey Park on Saturday mornings at 7 am for a 5-mile loop.

L Street Running Club: Not a morning person? No problem. This group meets every Tuesday and Thursday at 6 pm outside of the Curley Community Center. The group also heads out for a 5.5 – 7.5 mile loop, depending on the day.
