Spin Galactic
Maybe it’s the little paddles or the sound the ball makes when it hits the table, but we love ping- pong. We heard a rumor that a Spin Galactic – a ping-pong social club is scoping Southie for its next location. With clubs in New York, Milwaukee, Toronto and Los Angeles, Spin Galactic was created by Franck Raharinosy, Andrew Gordon, Jonathan Bricklin and Academy Award-winning actress Susan Sarandon. Who knew?
Spin will also serve up cocktails and food in addition to the table sport. They are currently looking at space at the corner of Summer and Melcher (right before you head over the bridge) in the spot that once housed Weylu’s (way back in the late 80’s – we know – we’re dating ourselves.)
We’ll keep you posted. Just when you thought Southie couldn’t get any better, suddenly with ping-pong on the horizon it’s making it even sweeter.
