New to the Neighborhood: Summer Street Wellness
Summer Street Wellness was created by South Boston resident Krysta-Lyn Martinelli, a 10+ year member of the community. Krysta-Lyn shares: “Yoga and South Boston Yoga saved my life. Yoga taught me to meet myself where I’m at, no matter the circumstance, and prioritize self-compassion and love. I couldn’t be here without the community at SBY, along with training under David Vendetti and Todd Skoglund who all gave me the support I needed to heal and grow.”
When South Boston Yoga closed, the community experienced deep grief, compounded by the challenges of the pandemic. Krysta-Lyn always dreamed of creating a space for healing, connection, and personal growth, but it took a few years to gain the bravery to do so. “I owe so much to my students, who have become dear friends over the years. Their unwavering support and belief in me gave me the courage to take the leap and make this dream a reality.”
At Summer Street Wellness, they believe in community first. “When you walk through our doors, you’re not just a client – you’re part of a greater community. Our space is designed for connection, support, and a lot of smiles. Say hello to your neighbors, get to know each other, and remember – we weren’t put on this planet to walk alone.”
