New to the Neighborhood: Say Hello to Harry & Lou

There’s a new boutique landing on East Broadway just in time for summer—Harry & Lou is bringing effortlessly cool style and curated finds to the neighborhood, with pieces that make getting dressed feel fun again.
From elevated everyday dresses and standout accessories to a few surprises for your pets, Harry & Lou is all about helping you find something for every occasion—whether it’s a birthday dinner, a work event, just grabbing drinks on the roof deck, or you need a gift.
Behind the scenes? A powerhouse trio of local women blending retail, marketing, and visual merchandising know-how. Southie resident Michaela Mavromates launched the concept after years in the fashion world, teaming up with her identical twin sister Olivia and her longtime friend Sara to bring the boutique to life. What started as a few pop-ups at neighborhood favorites like Love Child and Publico quickly grew into a full-fledged retail experience.

Expect a thoughtful selection, a welcoming vibe, and plenty of community-driven events—from permanent jewelry pop-ups to collabs with local artists and makers.
Opening day is right around the corner—end of May or early June—so get ready to shop local, support women-owned, and upgrade your closet all at once.
There will be a preview at the South Boston Spring Stroll on Thursday from 5pm-8pm. Stop by and welcome Harry & Lou to the neighborhood!
Wondering where the name Harry & Lou comes from? “Harry is my sister’s dog who was also my roommate for a couple of years, and Lou is my grey tabby cat,” says Mavromates. Make sure to follow Harry & Lou on Instagram for the latest!
