New to the Neighborhood: Ballers a new pickleball + padel club in the Seaport with a side of ice skating and cool winter vibes.

An urban winter oasis

Ballers is bringing country club sports to the city. Ballers Seaport will feature pickleball and padel as well as a cafe, bar, and pro shop. They offer programming for players at all levels, including leagues, clinics, lessons, open play, and competitive tournaments. And Ballers Seaport is an ideal venue to host corporate, social or work events for some fun competition among coworkers and friends.

This holiday season, Ballers will open part of their outdoor space designed for play, connection, and wintertime energy. At the heart of the experience is an innovative synthetic ice skating rink, made possible by eco-friendly Swiss Glice® technology, a smooth, waterless surface that lets guests glide under twinkling lights without the chill of traditional ice.

Surrounded by cozy firepits, private igloos, and seasonal treats like hot chocolate and s’mores, the rink offers a fresh twist on classic winter fun.

Ballers also debuts three professional-grade padel courts, among the first in the city, open for year-round play with leagues, clinics, open sessions, lessons, and tournaments for players of all levels. With space for private events and a vibrant programming calendar, Ballers is set to be a Seaport staple for both spirited competition and laid-back socializing.

Ballers will officially opening on Thursday, December 11th at 25 Pier 4 Blvd.

Geez 🙄 I proposed a skating rink to that part of southie to bring the people together to John Hynes at a Community meeting at the Condon School over 10 years ago .

Those Seaport multi-million dollar condo owners are going to love listening to the “THWACK. THWACK” of incessant pickle ball games. A game designed for Septuagenarians in Florida being played outdoors in February by yuppies in bacchanalian stupors. What could go wrong ? Spend the linkage money on kids not 30 something’s stuck in Arrested Development.
