Featured speaker

Local artist and Caught in Southie contributor Kathleen Bitetti will be the featured guest speaker at the South Boston Arts Association meeting. Kathleen is a practicing visual artist in South Boston and curator of the Medicine Wheel’s exhibits, will be the featured speaker at the SBAA’s monthly meeting, Saturday, July 13, 9:30 a.m., at the Curley Recreation Center, Day Boulevard. The public is welcome.

Kathleen recently curated the June 22 modern art exhibit at the Medicine Wheel which drew high praise from local artists.  She has had over 20 years experience in curating and arts administration.

Kathleen was the executive director of the Artists Foundation from 1992 to 2009, acting as chief curator for all the AF’s exhibits and as coordinator of its educational programs. Kathleen will discuss her approach to curating and her current work with Medicine Wheel.
