We’re sure you know that Black Mass – the film about notorious Southie mobster James “Whitey” Bulger is filming in and around Boston including Southie, Dot, the North End and Cambridge. Last week, they shot scenes on Silver Street and West Fifth Street involving actor Joel Edgerton who plays former FBI agent John Connolly. (We hear Joel is a super nice guy.) In the “truth is stranger than fiction” category, last week Connolly second-degree murder charge was overturned. Rumor has it Black Mass will be back in Southie in the Dorchester Heights area on June 13th. There have been no confirmed Johnny Depp sightings in Southie yet. So be on the lookout!
