A compelling Southie story

Former Southie resident and Boys and Girls Club kid, David Lindsay Abaire is taking center stage at the Huntington Theatre tonight, Friday, September 14th.   Lindsay – Abaire’s play Good People about a down-on-her-luck single Southie mom Margie Walsh – is the featured play from September 14th through October 14th and tells the story of fate and the choices we make.  South Boston is the backdrop and the subject of class and poverty is front and center in this character driven play about normal people trying to live the best life they can.   This play is a must-see.

See an amazing play and support an amazing South Boston organization – all at the same time.

On Thursday, September 20th the Boys & Girls Club of Boston invite you to celebrate South Boston Club Alumnus and Pulitzer Prize-Winning Playwright David Linsday – Abaire at a special performance of his newest play Good People. 100% of tickets sales from this performance will go directly to the South Boston Boys & Girls Club.  So why wouldn’t you want to go?

David won the Pulitzer Prize for Best Drama for his play Rabbit Hole which later was adapted into the film of the same name starring Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart.
