Competition – just desserts

Top chefs from area restaurants, bakeries and culinary schools will put their dessert skills to the test as they compete in the 19th Annual Gingerbread House Competition to benefit Housing Families, Inc. – a non-profit organization dedicated to ending family homelessness in Massachusetts

This battle of gingerbread and icing will go down on Friday, November 2nd from 10am to 12noon.  The sweet and tasty homes will be judged by a celebrity panel including Caught in Southie’s own Maureen Dahill and her two sons Peter Gailunas (9 years old) and Henry Gailunas (8 years old).

This event is part of the 26th Annual Boston Christmas Festival at the Seaport World Trade Center (200 Seaport Boulevard) all weekend long.  Featuring handcrafted gifts, holiday decorations, jewelry, clothing, pottery, folk art, and gourmet specialty food.   Tickets are $10.  For more information visit www.bostonChristmasFestival.com
