As part of the production of “Black Mass”, set crews were working hard on Wednesday to recreate the legendary Southie dive bar Triple O’s – – in Cambridge.
The facade of the Polish American Club near Inman Square in Cambridge has been transformed to replicate the bar where notorious gangster Whitey Bulger was a fixture.
“Black Mass” is the film based on the book by Dick Lehr and Gerard O’Neil about Whitey Bulger and the FBI starring Johnny Depp. Filming is set to start next week in Cambridge and Southie.
