It seems like sweatpants and leggings have become our new wardrobe of choice when it comes to pandemic life! With the new year underway, many are taking steps to improve their overall health including losing weight. So maybe ditch those sweats. According to Michelle Hynes – personal trainer at Regan’s Motivated Fitness – a great way to keep your weight in check – wear your jeans!

“I am not a huge believer in the scale. I think how you feel in your clothes and the size you are comfortable with is important. Confidence is key to feeling good. I measure my weight with my jeans,” says Michelle.

So maybe skip the scale, workout, eat healthy, and then try on your jeans weekly.

“I tell my clients, dig in the back of your closet for those skinny jeans you keep. Try them on once a week instead of going on the scale. See how you feel and let me know,” Michelle added.
