20 of Beauty in Southie: Lori Rua
For the past 20 years, Lori Rua has been driving to South Boston from her hometown of New Bedford almost every day. Anyone that commutes knows that driving into Boston can be a painstaking task but Lori is dedicated to her clients, considered an expert in her field and loves what she does.
Lori has worked as an esthetician at the corner of K & Broadway for two decades. She was first hired by Larry Barron, back in 2000. After Spa Christine, was replaced by The Beauty Bar, Lori continued to work. Recently, The Beauty Bar was taken over by the House of Ivy, and Lori can still be found in her upstairs room providing skincare, waxing, lash and brow tinting and her wildly popular lash extensions. (After an appointment with Lori – you’ll have thick, full gorgeous lashes! We promise you’ll love them! )
“What I love most about my job is helping people look and feel beautiful,” said Lori.
From her hydration facial that will leave your skin dewy and youthful, to her practically painless bikini wax, Lori is one of the best of the best and it shows in how you look and feel after an appointment with her!
Now’s the season to treat someone special (including yourself) to a little pampering or TLC with Lori at the House of Ivy.
There’s a reason she’s been in the beauty business for over 20 years!
