You know who Micky Ward is, right? Of course you do! He’s the three time New England Golden Gloves champ, WBU Intercontinental Light Welterweight champ, WBU Light Welterweight champ, and one of the very boxers to have the distinction of being part of Ring magazine’s fight of the year for three different years. Oh yeah and that Academy Award winning movie, The Fighter? That’s him.
Micky Ward will be conducting his Body Snatcher clinic this Sunday at noon at Peter Welch’s Gym (371 Dorchester Ave). The clinic’s main focus will be body punching and it’s open to anyone who would like to attend. This is the perfect opportunity to not just see a living legend in action but actually learn a thing or two from one! Whether you’ve been boxing for years or just bought your first pair of gloves, there’s plenty to learn from Ward and all for just a suggested donation at the door.
