We love Thanksgiving—A day with friends, family, and most importantly, the food. Get your sweat on early this Thanksgiving Day with these special workouts at some of our favorite local spots. Then, indulge guilt-free in mom’s pumpkin pie later ?

Boston Athletic Club
The BAC will be open from 7am-12noon – plenty of time to sweat before the big dinner!  There will be four – count ‘em four group exercise classes on Thanksgiving and all areas are covered from the pool to the spin bike.  You can check out their schedule here! 

The Handle Bar: Turkey Day Endurance Ride
An HB Tradition! Tap it back before tapping into the turkey with a 75-minute endurance ride.  From 8:30-9:45 AM, jam out in the saddle and burn enough calories to allow for seconds.  Sign up online now, bikes fill up fast!

Simply Barre
Hit the barre before noon this Thanksgiving AM with an early-bird class at Simply Barre. Get lean and mean with Karen from 8:30. Sign up here to reserve your spot!

Peter Welch’s Gym
Peter Welch’s is offering pre, post and turkey day workouts to keep you in shape!  On Wednesday, 3:30pm and 4:30pm Conditioning with James.  On Thanksgiving, there will be a trifecta of classes 8am Conditioning with Peter + Strength with Sean,  9am Conditioning with James + Strength with Sean and then 10am Conditioning with Sean.  On Friday – gym opens at 7:30 followed by a regular schedule! Radiant Yoga: Gratitude Flow
This class is all about giving back and having fun before Thanksgiving dinner—a yearly tradition since 2004! If you’re looking for a perfect class to bring your family & friends to this is it. Join the Radiant Team from 9am-10:15 and give thanks for all your blessings this year. All money raised will go to a local, not-for-profit: South Boston Community Health Center. Regan’s Motivated Fitness
Burn your calories the night before Thanksgiving with an action packed 45 minutes spin class with Tom.  Motivated will be open normal business hours on Wednesday from 5:30am-7:30pm.  They will be closed on Thursday and Friday.

East Side Yoga and Fitness
Ready to sweat? On Wednesday night, take Yoga Sculpt.  This rigorous class features strength postures that will have you moving, breathing and sweating! Yoga sculpt combines a vinyasa flow, strength training with light weights and a bit of cardio! You can register here! 

Franklin Park Turkey Trot 5K, Dorchester
Take a ride down to our neighboring town and get your trot on! Turkey Trots are wildly popular on Thanksgiving Day and this one supports Franklin Park community & seasonal programs.
