I’ve gone on the record before about how I downright abhor Black Friday (see HERE and HERE) but I have a confession to make, there is one Black Friday sale I hit every year, The Handle Bar’s Black Friday Sale. Now first of all there’s no waiting in line at 4am to score an off-brand egg timer, there’s no trampling or gunshots, no worry that you’re contributing to the rampant commercialism gripping this country or supporting an evil empire that keeps its workers in poverty (I’m looking at your Walmart), you just have to type a promo-code in on The Handle Bar’s website to get 25% off a class pack.
For those of you unfamiliar with The Handle Bar, owner and master instructor Jess Bashelor opened The Handle Bar to offer the intense, music driven classes she wanted to take herself. Since opening the doors in 2013 The Handle Bar has BLOWN UP. Jess has opened two more studios (Fenway and Harvard Square) and been featured in Boston Magazine, The Improper Bostonian, The Examiner, Boston Day Book, Boston Fitness Magazine, and most recently Jess was featured on Well + Good. In addition to all of the media accolades, The Handle Bar is also a favorite of Caught In Southie. We love the full body workout, passionate instructors, kick ass music, and sense of community at every ride. We also really love 25% off.
Seriously, every Black Friday I try to buy about a year’s worth of classes so they come out to being about $12 a class instead of the $24 a class going by the single class rate (25% off a twenty class pack). And if you’re new to spinning and suffering from a little spintimidation fear not! Buy some classes anyway because we’re partnering with The Handle Bar to do a FREE class for new Caught In Southie readers! So buy your classes and keep your eyes peeled for our free class announcement!
