Seaport Smalls – Halloween Party

On Saturday, October 14th from 10am-1pm take part in some good old-fashioned Halloween fun at Alileo at The Superette. The Seaport Smalls Halloween Event will free children’s programming for ages 0-8 years old. Halloween costumes are encouraged!

Seaport Smalls Halloween Event for the little ones will include:
– pumpkin decorating
– trick or treating
– face painting
– magic & balloons with Jungle Jim
– music with Little Groove Music
– story hour with Porter Square Books.
Refreshments will be available for purchase at Alileo, including iced coffee, pastries, and juice boxes.

Trick or Treating on Broadway

Beware of little ghosts and goblins (and their parents) roaming the streets in search for Halloween candy.  East and West Broadway will be filled with trick-or-treaters on Tuesday, October 31st from 4pm-6pm picking up candy from local businesses and residences.  So be warned! This event is free and is hosted by the members of the South Boston Chamber of Commerce. A special pedestrian traffic flow has been requested. 

South Boston Neighborhood House Trunk or Treat

Pumpkin Parade at Pope John Paul Park

Bring your Halloween costumes and carved pumpkins to the Pumpkin Parde on the Neponset River Greenway Trail on Thursday, October 26th at 5:30pm. There will be games, candy, hot chocolate and more! Candles for your Jack-O-Lanterns will be provided.

Get in the Halloween Spirit

Stop by Southie Haunts this weekend and get in the Halloween Spirit! This home on West Fourth between D + E is decorated for Spooky SZN and every night between 4pm-10pm there is a light show! Just press the button!  Tag us in your photos!

The LOT on the Dot Halloweenfest

The LOT’s Halloweenfest will be a family-friendly fall event on October 28th to celebrate the holiday! Kids can come in costumes to carve pumpkins and participate in Halloween-themed activities. The fun will also include refreshments from Cannonball Cafe’s Cantina and various food trucks.

PKL Family Friendly Halloween Brunch Event

On Sunday from 12pm-4pm at PKL enjoy a family-friendly Halloween celebration featuring mini pumpkin decorating, a free kids pickleball court, Halloween movies in the lounge, plus a tattoo station, photo booth, corn hole, prizes and more! Costumes encouraged!

Southie Spooktacular Halloween Parade

Get decked out in your most Spooktacular costume and strut your stuff. This year, organizers are turning up the volume on the Halloween fun.  Join us at on Saturday, October 28th at 3pm at Medal of Honor Park for Halloween music, free popcorn, a balloon artist, photo booth, games, crafts and costume contests/prizes (for dogs, too!).  Decorate a mini pumpkin with a funny face or try your hand at the potato sack race!  At 4pm, we’re lining up for a parade march around the park.  We’ll be walking by costume contest judges, winners announced at 4:15pm.  Find a house with a balloon around the park and trick or treat. Zoo Howl at the Franklin Park Zoo

(October 28-29) – Thrills, chills, animals and more await at Franklin Park Zoo’s annual Halloween celebration. The popular family-friendly event takes place across two days from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm offering the opportunity to trick-or-treat amongst the animals. Visitors are encouraged to wear their best attire to compete in the costume contest, enjoy haunted happenings and meet with the zoo’s leading educators who will share more about all the curious critters, and importance of purchasing treats made from sustainable palm oil, for Halloween and all year round. Bark Park Halloween Party!

The South Boston Bark Park is having a  Howl-o-ween Doggie Costume Contest and Fundraising Event on Sat 10/28 from 11am-1pm. The Doggie Costume Contest judging will be at 12pm noon. Raffle drawings to follow.
The Friends of the South Boston Bark Park is a nonprofit civic group whose core mission is managing, maintaining, and enhancing the Bark Park. The Friends of the South Boston Bark Park is supported by members and relies, in large part, on the generosity of the public it serves.

Fall-O-Ween Children’s Festival

Mayor Michelle Wu and the Boston Parks and Recreation Department host the third annual Fall-o-Ween Children’s Festival on the Boston Common Parade Ground at the corner of Beacon and Charles Streets on Friday, October 20, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Adults and children are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes and participate in a wide range of free, fun, and spooky family-friendly activities. Test your courage in our Funhouse Maze and on the Spooky Mansion Slide, try the Jumpin’ Pumpkin, test your skills at the bean bag toss, and enjoy nighttime fun in our Glow in the Dark Park with LED swings, LED seesaw, and LED cornhole.

A “monster mash” of activities will include music, arts and crafts, treats, rides on the trackless train, field games, individual, and group play facilitated by Knucklebones, and LEGO® Discovery Center Boston will host giveaways and fun Halloween-themed LEGO building activities.

The Magic Halloween Castle Island will NOT happen this year.

    Is the Trick or Treat on broadway Friday the 28th or Saturday the 29th? I thought usually on Friday but wanted to be sure…the day/date don’t line up.
